The ‘new make’ spirit produced by The Macallan is transformed into an iconic single malt when matured in Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks sourced from Jerez, Spain. The resulting whisky is rich, fruity and full-bodied. After being filled, the spirit is left to mature undisturbed in the same casks for a period of 18 years. The result is a single malt defined by mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours, combining to create a rich and complex taste experience.
